UV Stop Quartz Glass Tube Type EN08Ce

EN08Ce is mechanically drawn electrically fused quartz glass tube doped with cerium to block ultraviolet (UV). This glass blocks all vacuum ultraviolet, nearly all UV-C, UV-B and emits minimum UV-A. It is an ideal material for lamps requiring maximum visible light and to avoid UV exposure to people and materials.

EN08Ce is doped from natural quartz sand type N08 which has slightly high impurity, so it can not be employed in application where high purity is needed such as arc tube of metal halide lamps.

This glass can be supplied in the range between 6mm-40mm outside diameter.

 

Main application is as follows:

In combination with different OH level, it has below main application:

Type OH Application
EN08CeUB OH≤150ppm low cost halogen bulbs, sleeve of low cost metal halide lamps.
EN08CeNB OH≤10ppm halogen bulbs, shroud of metal halide lamps, CDMR lamps and other HID lamps.
