This material has been specifically developed for use in furnace construction. Its Al2O3 content is between 73-75%.

•Sillimantin 60 NG has a low porosity.

•Very good thermal shock resistance.

•There are no reactions with the heating elements.

Special applications for Sillimantin 60 NG:
•Working temperatures up to 1650°C.

•Firing supports for the manufacture of ferrites.

•Walking-beams for walking-beam type furnaces.

•Thin-walled furnace tubes needing high reftractoriness.

•Shapes for bridging long distances between supports.

•Excellent chemical resistance although the material is porous. No contamination of the furnace atmosphere through waste steam.

•In furnaces with a high temperature gradient.

•For outer protection tubes for use under difficult conditions in temperature measurement.
