Impervious Ceramics - 60% Alumina - Pythagorus

This is the most economical impervious material for furnace construction.

•Pythagorus is gastight and can be used for temperatures up to 1400°C. Its resistance against gases free of hydrofluoric acid is very good.

•Due to their high thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength, Pythagorus tubes are often used in furnaces working under normal conditions.

•Pythagorus is also the most economical ceramic material for impervious outer protection tubes and insulating rods for thermocouples.
