quartz fabricator and glassblowers, fused silica glass, fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate, technical ceramics, alumina tubes, alumina insulators, thermocouple sheaths
Multi-lab Ltd was founded in 1984. It alumina insulators, thermocouple sheaths business was established by Mr. R. B. Jackman and his wife Mrs A. E. Jackman. Mr Jackman was formerly a Technical Specialist in the field of Scientific Silica specialising in quartz fabrication and glassblowing, and fused silica glass with a leading quartz glass manufacturing company. He served in various departments for 25 years, his last position being Technical Sales Manager dealing with, alumina insulators, thermocouple sheaths . After being made redundant, along with many others from the fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate company, the Company, Multi-lab Ltd., was founded. In June 1988 two further members of the Jackman family joined the company, Mr R. R. Jackman as Sales Director and Mr P. K. Jackman as Production Director, both these had technical ceramics, alumina tubes experience and successful businesses of their own before joining Multi-lab.
Located on the west side of Newcastle upon Tyne, Multi-lab since it's formation, embarked on a programme of steady technical ceramics, alumina tubes, alumina insulators and thermocouple sheaths development, growth and expansion. This has resulted in Multi-lab becoming one of the leading suppliers and fabricators of quartz and ceramics within the U.K. A major factor in the success of the fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate company has been achieved by excellent service, in quartz fabrication and glassblowing, supply of fused silica glass, competitive pricing and above all maintaining the personal family values. This approach together with large stocks and excellent glass blowing and machining of fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate capabilities has enabled us to build close lasting relationships with users of alumina insulators, thermocouple sheaths and all of our other customers. Due to the steady expansion of Multi-lab every year, we have now built up an expertise and service which is second to none. In addition to our officespace of 9,000 sq ft, we have a purpose built factory of 21,000 sq ft. which is perfect for quartz fabricator and glassblowers, fused silica glass, technical ceramics and alumina tubes
We currently work Quartz and Borosilicate fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate from 3mm OD to 450mm OD, producing items for a wide range of markets including lighting, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive and research and development. At Multi-lab's quartz fabricator and glassblowers and fused silica glass facility we have capabilities to cut up to 500mm diameter, also we can cut and slice blocks up to 1mtr sq, slicing down to 0.3mm thick. Wealso have fully automatic, technical ceramics, alumina tubes alumina insulators, thermocouple sheaths cutting facilities, cutting up to 4'600 cuts per hour typically 100 OD x 100mm long. We can grind and machine material from boules of fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate blocks or plate We have capabilities to grind and polish down to very precise tolerances. Our polishing tolerances go down to 1/10 or 0.3mm Parallelism to 3 seconds with technical ceramics, alumina tubes . We have full C.N.C machining capabilities for Quartz and Ceramic Components. Multi-lab has operated under strict quality procedures for alumina insulators, thermocouple sheaths for many years, including IS0-9002. We have had many quartz fabricator and glassblowers and fused silica glass customers perform audits of our alumina insulators and thermocouple sheaths quality system and encourage any company to audit our procedures. Multi-lab is the appointed technical ceramics, alumina tubes distributor for OSRAM SYLVANIA INC. and OSRAM GmbH quartz tubing products in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Manufacturing plants in Germany and USA ensure stable supply. Quality control is maintained throughout our fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate products every step of the process. From the starting purification of raw quartz sand, to the final quartz tubing, traceability is maintained throughout the process. Worldwide, quartz fabrication and glassblowing of fused silica glass tubing has proven to be a high quality. fused quartz and silica products, quartz tubing and plate raw material for semiconductor technical ceramics, alumina tubes have proved to be ideal for fabrication and lighting applications.
