Multi-lab QuartzTec

Multi-lab QuartzTec’s facility in East Kilbride, Scotland is a modern state of the art quartz fabrication facility. Up until late 2007 the factory was owned and operated by Heraeus quartz, the largest vertically integrated quartz fabricator in the world.
Multi-lab bought the facility in 2007 and will utilise its strengths in terms of a highly skilled workforce and 1st class equipment to compliment their existing structure to become one of the top quartz fabricators in Europe.

A More Advanced Product Portfolio

Our parent company, Multi-lab Ltd has been a key player in the quartz and advanced ceramics industries for over 20 years. The acquisition of the East Kilbride facility allows the company to offer a broader and more advanced product portfolio. The East Kilbride facility has been producing high quality horizontal and vertical Semiconductor and related parts for many years.

We have the capabilities to fabricate tubes up to 450mm OD. Our extensive lathe and bench areas are complimented by a large fully integrated CNC machine workshop including ultra sonic equipment providing the capabilities to machine product to very tight tolerances.

The CMM machines within our final inspection area allow product to be measured to 5 decimal places. The facility also has a large quartz cleaning area and additional class 1000 clean room allowing “ship to line” on specific products. The East Kilbride factory produces high quality fabricated quartz parts for industries including semiconductor, optical fiber and defence.
